The start of August commences our 2017 Spring Season of our day & night competition tennis.
While the early nights are cold, this is the best season to be apart of competition tennis. Those that can hang around until the end of the season will enjoy great weather, great hitting and great social tennis at our club.
All our captains will be picking up the team packs and tennis balls for the season ahead shortly.
The coming season we have had no change from the number of teams we have registered on court.
The Night Competition has 2 Ladies Teams, 4 Mixed Teams and 6 Mens Teams.
The WTC Committee sincerely hope you enjoy your hitting over the months ahead and look forward to seeing you throughout the season.

The Senior Competition teams have been submitted with the Association for the Spring 2017 season.
It is a tough process, spread over 4 weeks. The selection committee can not please everyone but we do try our very best.

Hello Members,
This week commences the 2017 Autumn Season of our day & night competition tennis. Hopefully you have all started writing 2017 now in your dates too!!
We certainly hope you all had an enjoyable break, but now its time to get back into the swing of things.
Tonight, all our captains will have picked up the team packs and tennis balls for the season ahead.
In a slight change from the norm, the season is starting a little bit earlier this season, because of the holidays throughout the season. Please be sure to look ahead in the fixture for these. Key Dates are listed on our dedicated Senior Tennis page as well.
The coming season we have had no change from the number of teams we have registered on court.
The Night Competition has 2 Ladies Teams, 5 Mixed Teams and 5 Mens Teams. The day competition continues to have our evergreen Thursday ladies team. (If you are interested in playing during the day, please email senior.tennis@westmeadowstc.org.au)

Hi members, Joel here, busy planning and preparing for the season ahead.
The teams are available to view and information is available for your viewing pleasure under the Senior Tennis tab.
Today, captains have been emailed information about their teams, so I would expect they be in touch soon.
Remember, the mid season hit ups are down at the club from 7pm Wednesdays nights. Get down and practice!

Once again, this season we have Night Delegates in Place to help you with all your queries as a first point of call.

This week commences the 2014 Spring Season.
As of tonight, captains will have everything they need to guide teams through a successful and enjoyable season.
The coming season we have 3 Ladies Teams, 4 Mixed Teams and 3 Mens Teams. We also have Airport West hiring courts off us on a Thursday night.
For this coming season we will also have night delegates assigned to help share the workload throughout the season. The committee would like to thank Frieda Tabiaat (Tuesday Night), Ashleigh Robertson (Wednesday Night) and Christian DiCocco (Thursday Night) for helping out throughout the season.

Last Sunday the Westmeadows Tennis Club officially launched its Social Sunday hit up, where existing members and locals can share in the fun that is a social hit of tennis.
Our aim was to share information about the event via our social media channels, mainly Facebook, and see what interest that generated. We had 4 club members and 10 new faces to the WTC come down and enjoy hitting on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Going forward, we will endeavour to make this a regular event, so please keep the first Sunday of the month free.
As interest grows, we will aim to put on a BBQ lunch, introduce appropriate court sharing arrangements and ensure that all members and non-members just have fun.
The next hit up is scheduled for Sunday, 6th April from 11am. We would love to see you there 🙂

The Club would like to remind all members of Senior Competition teams that as of this Tuesday night a new season officially starts!
You should have all received your Team Fees in the mail or via email recently. Please look to pay these ASAP.
Start Dates:
Ladies – 4th February 2014
Mixed – 12th February 2014
Mens – 6th February 2014
Please be sure to check the fixtures on the NSNTA site in your own time. Team Captains will be down at the club on Monday night collecting everything you will need for the season, so be ready to hear from them with where you are playing.
Reminder: As mixed start a week later, next wednesday night from 7pm is the last chance you will have to get in a practice hit!

The WTC Anniversary Shield was due to be held last month, but had to be postponed. Never fear though, it has been rescheduled to be held on Sunday 1st December, 2pm.
Last year’s event was a return to form for this popular tournament, so let’s continue that again this year!
As usual, it is a mixed doubles handicap round robin tournament. Choose a partner, or if you can’t find one, let us know and we’ll find one for you.
The cost is $20 per couple, which also includes a free BBQ afterwards. Drinks will also be available on the day.
Entries close Monday 25th November, so get in quick. Contact Nabil on 0421 132 210, or by email on social.fundraising@westmeadowstc.org.au.
